New Niles Hotel On Track For June Opening
April 13, 2016A four-story, $9.7 million Holiday Inn Express & Suites is on track to open by the end of June at the corner of Waukegan Road and Milwaukee Avenue in Niles.
The hotel, which broke ground in April 2015 on the previous site of a Traveler’s Inn, recently hired a general manager and is accepting late summer reservations. Hotel managers expect to begin hiring other staff starting next month. The 64,000 sq. ft. hotel will contain 100 rooms, with 17 larger suites and 83 regular guest rooms, 1,500 sq. ft. of meeting space, a 107-space parking lot, pool, fitness center, business center, continental breakfast and a “market place” offering beer, wine and snacks...

May 13, 2015On Thursday morning, April 30th, over 70 people attended the Ground Breaking ceremony for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Niles (7247 North Waukegan Road). The new four-story hotel, which will be owned and operated by the Skokie-based Lakhani Hospitality, will be built on the former site of the Traveler’s Inn and Ozzie’s Bar and Grill.
